Check Gates

 

  The Sales Tax Department has 3 (three)  Major Check Gates, in the state and these are:

                -    Byrnihat    - Ri Bhoi District
                -    Umkiang   - Jaintia Hills District.
                -    Dainadubi - East Garo Hills District.

  headed by a Superintendent of Taxes assisted by Inspectors.

The Respective Check gates are:

West Khasi Hills

  1. Athiabari

Ri Bhoi

  1. Iewmawroh

  2. Umsiang

  3. Byrnihat

West Garo Hills

  1. Bajengdoba

  2. Tikrikilla

East Garo Hills

  1. Dainadubi

  2. Mendipathar
